Education about our approach

OUR Approach

IOCH was established with a vision to inspire hope and promote personal growth.

In the United States, a significant portion of the population faces ongoing challenges with pain and movement. Traditional methods often emphasize the musculoskeletal system and biomechanics, important yet limited facets of a much broader spectrum of factors influencing pain and movement difficulties. This narrow focus has possibly led to the limited success of existing treatment models, leaving many individuals in continued distress. Recent scientific advancements highlight the intricate link between our physical, cognitive, and emotional experiences and these health challenges.

At IOCH, we understand that your health concerns encompass more than just the physical aspects; they are intertwined with your entire being. This understanding is the cornerstone of our practice, fully embodied by the Human Rehabilitation Framework (HRF). The HRF represents a pioneering, process-based rehabilitation approach, deeply rooted in the Biopsychosocial Model. It emerged from a collaborative effort with global pain and movement specialists, bringing together cutting-edge findings in pain science, rehabilitation, behavioral science, and psychological flexibility techniques.

Our commitment to the HRF has enabled us to guide numerous clients and patients through their health challenges, including those who had previously seen little to no improvement. Regardless of whether you are facing new pain and movement issues or have been battling them for years, IOCH is dedicated to your journey towards better health.
